Sandra Kluge’s sophomore release, Misty Rose, is an autobiographical snapshot of the artist’s journey of blossoming into a young woman on the path of self-love and discovery.

What sets this track apart is that all of the drum parts are played by Sandra Kluge’s tap shoes on wood and bare feet on sand. It evolves out of her extensive explorative quest to redefine tap as a fully-fledged music instrument that can both accompany and solo and belongs, in fact, in the rhythm section.

Misty Rose is about the essence of the divine feminine, which is an integral part of all creation and transcends gender identity. The song invites the listener to allow oneself to grow and bloom. To recognize and appreciate the beauty within and without. To discover one’s inner treasure and find grounding within oneself. Misty Rose is about the strength and power that lies in softness and gentleness.
